Sargent Frazier

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand.”  

Isaiah 41:10 

Sargent Frazier was born on December 02, 1937, to Frank Toney and Iz Toney Frazier.  He departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on February 19, 2024. 

Sargent attended Centerville School during his primary years and Butler High School during his secondary school years.  He retired from the United States Army. He was a sharpshooter, rifle M-14.   At the time of retirement, he was ranked SD4 E4 (T).  In Sargent’s free time, he enjoyed watching television.  His favorite sports to watch were baseball and football.  He also liked to watch Jimmy Swagger, Old Westerns, and any good movie.  He enjoyed fishing and pickup trucks.  He loved listening to gospel music. Sargent was a member of Centerville AME Church.   

Sargent was preceded in death by a sister, Fonzena McLin; and brothers, Tolan Frazier, Marvin Frazier, Charlie Frazier, and James Frazier. 

Sargent leaves to cherish his loving memories to his daughter, Chenelle R. Bailey as well as Tameka Philips; Sisters: Alice Henry, Nora Glen, Cleo Ingram, Katherine Cook, Patricia Jenkins and Sheila Davis; a brother, Cal Frazier; a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
