It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mother Sarah Gee.
Mother Gee passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.
The family will receive friends at: 604 S. 6th Street Hartsville, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Sarah Pauline Gee, affectionately known as “Coon” was born on March 26, 1928, in Marlboro County. She departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2024 at her residence.
Sarah Pauline was the daughter of the late Henry and Byrda Campbell. She received her education in Marlboro County School District. After the death of her father, the family relocated to Darlington County where she was united in marriage with the late Robert Lee Gee. To this union, ten children were born. Sarah Pauline loved her children dearly. Her prayer was that the Lord let her live to see her children grow up and be able to take care of themselves.
Sarah Pauline was employed at Sanitary Cleaners for eight years as a sewist. Her favorite pastimes were working in her yard, gardening and fishing. She loved cooking for and feeding her family. Sarah Pauline enjoyed helping people. She was always positive minded and enjoyed talking to everyone that she came in contact with.
In the late 1960s, she joined Nathan Temple F.B.H. Church under the leadership of the late Pastor D.L Heard. Sarah Pauline was a dedicated member and she served in many capacities such as member of the kitchen committee, President of the Motherboard, and Senior Missionary.
Sarah Pauline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Sr; son, Robert Lee Jr; daughter, Mallie Mae; Brothers, Frank, Dave, Albert, and Roland Campbell; Sisters, Margaret, Louise, Annie Mae, Mary, Alma, Edith, and Janice.
Those left to cherish her memories are four daughters; Mary Lee (Dan), Cuffie, Baltimore MD; Ethel Mae Hall, Stratford CT; Geraldine Jackson and Mellie Ann Frazier, both of Hartsville; four sons; James (Diane) Gee, Bridgeport CT; Ervin (Shirley) Gee, Seymour CT; David (Janice) Gee, Ansonia CT; Calvin (Deborah) Gee, Waterbury CT; one sister; Edell Campbell; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
