Samaya Johnson

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Samaya Johnson. 

Ms. Samaya, 10, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at MUSC. 

The family will receive friends at 2707 Flushing Covey Dr., and 600 South 11th st . Hartsville, SC. 

Please keep the family in your prayers during this time of bereavement.

  Ms. Samaya Marie Johnson was born on March 13, 2013 in Hartsville, South Carolina.  She was the loving daughter of Mr. Rodriguez Johnson and Ms. Felicia James.  She received her education at North Hartsville Elementary School. She was an all A Honor Roll student and a joy to be around. She loved to dance, sing, and make TikTok videos. She was very lovable and outgoing and loved being around her family. She loved to talk and would be bossy at times. She enjoyed Chicken McNuggets from McDonald’s and Roblox gift cards. Her favorite color was pink.

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 the journey of our dear sister came to an end.  To all things there are a season.  A time to be born and a time to die.  For it is not wise of us to question why such things as death occur, but death is a part of living for we must die to live again.  To God be the glory, for the life lived and the many memories shared.

She was preceeded in death Huey James (Grandfather) and Huey James Ingram (Uncle).

Survivors to carry on her legacy is her mother, Felicia James; her father, Rodriquez Johnson; Brothers: Jarod Johnson and Drique Johnson; Grandparents: Peggy Burch, Francis Bryant, and Randy Myers; God-Mother: Tarsha (Melvin) Jackson; Uncles: Jevoris Burch, Jermaine Ingram, Rodney Johnson. Terekas Taylor, and Cherod Johnson; Aunts: Dorene Ingram, Irene Ingram, Shaneka McCall, Raketta (Brandon) George, Rashonda Johnson, Antonette Brown, Charlisha Wingate, Maria Johnson, and Charaine Johnson;Extra Special Cousin: Jazlyn Burch; Special Cousins: Jim (Erica) Blue, Travis (Latonya) Blue, Christopher (Shereca) Blue, Joseph (Jennifer) Blue and Fredrick (Layia) Blue; a host of relatives and friends.
