It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Roosevelt Cotton.
Mr. Cotton entered into rest on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at his residence.
The family will receive friends at:
1517 Sherrill Mill Road, Darlington, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC, of Hartsville, SC.

Roosevelt Cotton Jr, age 71, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, in Darlington, South Carolina.
Roosevelt was born on February 19, 1954, in Hartsville, South Carolina, He is preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Cotton Sr (Lugenia Cotton) and Annie Lou Cotton; his sister Margret Hunter. He was a loving brother to his siblings, Roland Dickey, Wanda Cotton, Minnetta Cotton, Loretta Cotton, Paul Cotton (Kelly), Oscar Cotton and Mary Bruce.
Roosevelt attended Darlington County Public Schools. He was known for his skills in different areas advising all who knew him of different trades. He love football and was a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Roosevelt was a devoted brother, father, and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his family. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
Left to cherish his children, Tamatha Scott and Jevon Moses; his grandchildren; Jasmine Scott, Tiquan Scott, Xzavious Kilpatrick, Kelvontay Prescott, Corey Prescott and great-grandchildren; Zayden Kilpatrick, Serenity Kilpatrick, Kenslii Prescott, Xion Scott & Zyaire Scott; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends.
Roosevelt’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
