We regret to inform you of the passing of Ms. Nettie Louise Hunter Gant.
Ms. Gant passed on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Faith Nursing Home in Florence, SC.
The family will receive friends at:
226 Tremont Dr in Florence, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

In His infinite wisdom and gentle grace, Almighty God reached down from Heaven and whispered ever so quietly to one of his children these words: “Come with me my daughter for it’s time to go home” and so it was that Saturday, December 28. 2024 God closed the eyes of our beloved Nettie.
Mrs. Nettie L. Hunter Gant was born April 16, 1938 in Darlington County to Preston and Idella Graham Hunter. She was married to the late Joe L. Gant.
Nettie received her formal education through the Darlington County Public School System where she excelled in her studies. She graduated from Rosenwald High School.
Nettie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was a member of St. James Church of Deliverance where she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord.
Nettie lived life enjoying the simple pleasures of riding around and sight-seeing. She enjoyed life to the fullest because she loved to have fun. Her greatest joy was going to church where she was able to serve and praise the Lord.
Nettie was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe L. Gant; two sons, William Tucker and Robert Tucker; sisters, Magnolia Littles and Lillian Boderick; brothers, Preston Hunter, John Hunter, Robert (Bubba) Hunter, Franklin Hunter, Jerome Hunter, and James Hunter.
Nettie leaves to cherish fond memories: parents, Preston and Idella Graham Hunter and Cheree T. (Willie) Brown of Florence; children, Johnny (Alice) Tucker and Calvin (Beverly) Gant both of Hartsville, Charles (Lydia) Tucker of Pennsylvania, and Chris (Christine) Gant of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, George Hunter; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren; special grandchildren that she raised, Tyronn (Peanut) Gant, Kevin Gant of the home, Tyreon Tucker and Wiliam Tucker Jr; special niece, Marry George; special friends, Ronnie and Brenda George; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other close relatives and friends.
