We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Mark B. George of Darlington, SC. Mr. George passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 after an automobile accident. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Mark B. George will be Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Hartsville, SC. 

The family will receive friends at the home of his wife:
2424 Windstar Dr., Hartsville, SC
and at the home of his mother:
1429 Romance Dr., Darlington, SC.

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

Mr. Mark George was born on January 22, 1977 in Darlington County. He was the son of Shirley Ann Graham and Verna Lois Ross Bishop. He entered into eternal rest on September 4, 2023.

 Mark was educated in the Darlington County public schools and was a   member of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church in Dovesville, SC.

Mark was married to Jessica George and to know Mark was to love him! He was always the life of the party for everyone. You would always know it was him because he always wore his favorite color, red. He had some of the best dance moves, especially when it came down to reggae music. Cooking on the grill was one of his favorite pastimes. He could catch and cook his behind off. Whether it was fish, deer, rabbits or some good ‘ole coon, the food was good.

Mark was know for his nickname Loco. He loved to wear red. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and grilling in his spare time. He also loved to dance and be the life of the party. He loved his children and his granddaughter dearly. He was kindhearted and his world revolved around his children and family. He gave his mother, Lois Bishop, peace of his mind because all he ever wanted to do was to get her! Even though he went to be with the Lord, she will always know how important she was to him.

Those left to cherish his loving memories are: his wife, Jessica George; mother, Verna Lois Ross Bishop and Shirley Ann Graham who he loved dearly; his children: Landen Hardy, Dandriqus Taylor, Anthony George and Malik George; step children: Raven Schaff and Jayce Smith; sisters and Brothers: Loretta Samuel, Alphonza (Debra) Sellers, Troy (Mae) Sellers, Verna (Benjamin) Elam, Joe George, Angel (David) Abby, Patricia Graham, Mattie O’Neal, James (Yalonda) Graham, Eddie (Sheren) Graham, Frederick Graham, Kevin (Latoya) Brown, Derrick Graham, Ashely Johnson, Willie (Latisha) Brown, Helena Graham, Belinda (Elijah) Strong, Rosevelt Graham and Jimmy Graham; special nieces who he loved like his own daughters, Amora Harriott, Kalyah Robinson and Kayleh Robinson; godsister, Maria Bishop; a special cousin, Kenneth Graham; favorite nephew, James Ross; favorite niece, Penny Harriott; best friends, Jerome Sims, Derek Tony, Eric Jackson, Carl Frazier, and Levern Wheeler; A large host of family and friends.
