The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.                                                Psalm 23:1-3

On December 30, 1949, Margaret was born to the late Margaret London Rhodes and Griffin (Bully) Rhodes in Hartsville, SC. She is the youngest of seven children, four preceded her in death, Junior Lee Rhodes, Sr., Jessie Rhodes, Frank Rhodes, and Mary Rhodes Lucky. She was also -preceded in death by her son, Marcus Allan Rhodes.

Margaret received her education from the Hartsville public school system. Her academic journey culminated with her graduation from Butler High School in 1968, after which she moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut. While in Bridgeport, she attended Housatonic Community where she took several business courses. She was employed by Rex Ham (Warrens) Packaging Company where she was a forklift operator. Due to an injury, she retired and began working at the Stop and Shop Video Department as a manager until the company downsized. She later went to work in the People's Bank Call Center where she worked for 10 years. She continued her employment as a secretary at Always Nursing Home Care in New Haven, Connecticut until her retirement in 2009.

Margaret was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend David Miller in Bridgeport, Ct. After a life-changing event, she relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Rehoboth Restoration Church under the leadership of Overseers Richard & Louise Rouse. She was the first Mother to be inducted to the Motherboard at Rehoboth Restoration Church where she served until her rest.

Margaret was most known for her fancy nail polish, sassy personality, and uncanny wittiness. She would always leave you smiling with encouraging and quick wit. She loved to laugh, eating her Red Lobster and Saturday's yard sales. She mostly enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends.
