Mae Donia Ings-Wilds

It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of Ms. Mae Ings Wilds.

Ms. Wilds passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC.

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.   My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Mae Donia Ings- Wilds was born January 24, 1954, to Clarence Ings and Emma Lou Toney Ings. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Mae Donia was educated in the public schools of Darlington County. She was a 1972 graduate of Butler High School. Throughout her life, Mae Donia worked several jobs to provide for her family. She was employed by MALFCO, Morrell, Burger King, and she did house cleaning. Mae Donia favorite pastime was cooking for her family. Where many found cooking a task, Mae Donia found pure joy in cooking.

Mae Donia believed in treating people the way she wanted to be treated. She was kind and nice to all that she came in contact with. Her laugh was infectious. She loved her children, and grandchildren, but most importantly, she loved the Lord. Mae Donia was a member of Mt. Calvary AME Church.

Mae Donia was preceded in death by her parents Clarence Ings and Emma Lou Toney Ings, siblings Alton Ings, Sally Durant, and Leroy Toney.

Those left to cherish and hold onto Mae Donia’s lasting memories are children Deidra Ings, Anthony Ings, and Myra Bishop; grandchildren Darius Ings, Gregory Boone, Mariah McDaniel, Simone Taylor, Satavious Taylor, and Antwan Taylor; brothers Charles (Linda) Ings and Larry (Trina) Ings; sister Barbara Ann Witherspoon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other close relatives and friends.
