Loretta Tedder

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Loretta Ann Tedder, 69, of Bennettsville, SC. Mrs. Tedder entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. 

The family will receive friends at 211 McColl St., Bennettsville, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

Loretta Tedder was born in Darlington County on September 5, 1953 to the late Charlie and Daisy Jacobs. Loretta departed on July, 25, 2023 in Florence,SC. She was educated in the Darlington County School District and graduated from Butler High School in 1971.

 November 16, 1971, she married the love of her life, Albert Tedder, Sr. and was happily married for 41 years. They were blessed with four children (Albert (Yvonne) Tedder, Jr., Tabitha (John) Bingham, John Adams Tedder, and the late Jalessa Nija Tedder).

 She attended Household of Faith Church in Hartsville, SC where she served for many years. She was employed by the Marlboro County School District where she retired after 25 years.

 Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Jalessa, and siblings (Frances Jacobs, Inez Jacobs, Robert Jacobs, and Vern Stanley).

 Left to cherish her memory are her Children, Siblings (Willie Mae Williams, Johnny Mae (Bill) Heathman, Rosa (Willie) Jackson, Wesley (LJ) Jacobs, Sr., and Betty Jacobs), Niece | Daughter (Pamela (Stacey) Johnson), Grandchildren (Justice, Jasmine, Stephan, and Aman), six Great-grands, a host of Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and Friends. We will miss her love, laughter, hugs, wisdom, compassion and wit. Loretta left an impression on everyone she met. She was giving, kind and always willing to help others in need. She was a servant of God, caregiver, and a light for her family and community. Her memory will be  in our hearts forever.
