Numbers 12:13
Ms. Lisa Venson was born on March 13, 1968, in Richmond, VA. She was the daughter of Calvin and Barbara Hairston. She was the mother of Ciara and Calvin Hairston. She was educated in the public schools of Darlington County.
Lisa was strict growing up and never relentless. On Sundays, after making sure her children had everything that they needed she would kick them out of the house so she could clean until the streetlights came on. She was also a great cook,
She enjoyed talking junk. That was her specialty. She was a fighter. She was a tough lady who always stood her ground. Although this was the case, her loyalty was strong. It never wavered. She always did whatever she could for her family, no matter what the circumstances were. She was really the GOAT, and nobody can say anything different.
When Ciara was pregnant, she wanted to kick her butt but when Keyia was born that was HER baby, her very first granddaughter. She enjoyed the birth of her second grandchild, Dynasty. Then she finally received her first and only grandson. It was Calvin’s mini. She had strong, special relationships with both her son and her sister. She always taught them to be smart, strong-willed individuals. Her great-grandchildren are what really kept her going. She had such a loving bond with each one of them.
The Dallas Cowboys were her favorite team. Go Cowboys! When she wasn’t cheering for them, you could find her dancing, traveling or spending time with her family. These are all just a few memories that we will forever cherish.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Venson, her favorite niece, Melissa Smith, and nephew Smith.
Those left to cherish her memories are: her in-laws, Ernest Venson, Sr., and Nancy Venson; daughter, Cierra Hairston; son, Calvin Hairston; brothers: Keith Hairston, William Hairston and Jesse Hairston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
