Many desired to have their life well lived. A life where others can bear witness to contributions that have made a notable impact in their lives. A life where others can say that the world is a much better place now that you’ve passed this way. A well-lived life is one of remarkable character, impeccable integrity, spiritual responsibility and accountability, and a genuine love and care for people. This was the life of Mother Lillian Celestine Fulwood Alford ‘Teenie’. To know her was to love her and she never held back on what she wanted you to know. She was a straight-shooter. SMILE
Mother Teenie was born to the late John and Lillie Echols-Fulwood. This blessed event occurred on August 23, 1925 in Lee County, South Carolina. As God saw fit, she departed this life on Thursday, July 6, 2023, peacefully at home.
Mother Teenie accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of the Sixth Street Church of God, Hartsville, South Carolina where she served faithfully. She always loved growing gladiolas and would decorate the church yearly in the month of June. She served as an Usher, a Missionary, Choir member and Hospitality Committee. She and her husband, Aaron Alford, Sr farmed and grew large gardens. When it came time to harvest, they would always give back to the community and to those in need. She later joined the New Beginnings Temple of Praise ministry under the leadership of her Son-in-Law, Senior Pastor Dr. John Q. Duncan, I and presently her daughter, Pastor Dr. Deloris A. Duncan. She was a very faithful member who always supported whatever was going on within the church ministry, and did so continuously until her health declined.
