It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Jeanette Hough.
Ms. Hough passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.
The family will receive friends at:
2241 Ousleydale Road, Hartsville, SC. Until 8:00 PM.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Jeanette McMillan Hough was born on January 1, 1950, in Darlington County. She was the loving daughter of the late James and Alice Cotton McMillan.
Jeanette departed from life at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center on Friday, September 13, 2024 surrounded by family and friends.
“Nette” as she was affectionately called also had many other special nick names that were given to her by family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Nette was caring, loving, kind and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her heart was so huge and her welcoming spirit made everyone feel at home. She loved anything pertaining to family, especially the family gatherings that were held at her house. She also enjoyed going to the beach. She found pleasure and it made her feel good just to stand on the balcony at the beach watching her grands and great grands run around and have fun.
Nette was a member of Hartsville Bible Baptist Church. She was a God-fearing woman.
Nette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hercules Hough; mother and father, James and Alice McMillan; son, Otis Hough; siblings, James McMillan Jr, Monroe McMillan, Nathaniel McMillan, Mary McMillan Jarrett, and Vera Lee Brunson.
Those left to cherish the memories of Jeanette “Nette” McMillan Hough are: Children, Bobby (Lucy) McMillan, Dorothy (Lonnie) Elderidge all of Darlington SC; Sharon Hough and Hermena Hough of the home; Jamie Hough, Teanita James of Hartsville SC; siblings, Anna Johnson, Bennie Lee Cleo McMillan; one aunt Maybell Cotton; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, close relatives and friend.
