Jaycee Phillips

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Jaycee Phillips of Elgin, SC. 

Mr. Phillips passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 after an automobile accident. 

The family will receive friends at: 216 Gibbs Road, Elgin, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Mr. Jaycee Phillips was born on January 11, 1946, in Darlington County, SC. He was the son of the late Detolden Ned Sparks and Mrs. Bessie Lee Phillips Williams. He received his education from Darlington County Schools. Jaycee was a member of Zion Temple in Timmonsville, SC where he presided as a Deacon.

Jaycee really enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and farming.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Detolden Ned Sparks; a brother, Henry Lee Phillips and his son, James Jackson.

Those left to cherish his memories are: his daughters, Evelena W. Smith (James) Graham, Patricia A. Hunter, Kimberly A. Brown, Pamela Frazier (Osteen Don) and Linda Baker; sons: Errol V. Smith (Tawanna), and Jammie C. Phillips; sisters, Mary Dubose and Diana Thomas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; close friends, Willie and Linda Carter and a host of family and friends.
