Jacqueline R. Jackson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Jacqueline (Ella) Jackson of Hartsville, SC.

Ms. Jackson entered into rest on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC. 

The family will receive friends at 2517 Persimmons Dr., Hartsville, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

Ms. Jacqueline R. Jackson, the daughter of the late Wash Townsend and the late Louise Smith was born on September 08, 1949 in Darlington County. She entered into eternal rest on August 04, 2023 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.

She was employed as a Seamstress in Connecticut. This was just one of her many occupations. She also worked as a caregiver, housekeeper, farm worker, and fast food in Baltimore.  

Those who preceded Ella in death include her father, Wash Townsend; mother, Louise Smith; husband, Eddie Ross, Jr.; and husband. Robert Wayne Jackson.

Those left to cherish her loving memories are her children: John (Francine) Townsend, Linda (Levern, Sr.) Smith, Edward (Sherine) Ross, Joseph (Roise Smith) Ross and Jason (Michelle) Ross; her bonus baby, Romier Gatison; siblings: Ruby Scott, Lee Smith, Anna Smith-Benjamin, Yvette Townsend Jones, Daniel Smith Jr., Jackie (Sunny) Townsend, Sylvester Townsend, Frankie Smith, Elizabeth Townsend Crowder and six others; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; aunt: Wilhemenia Hart; best friends: Jenny Gainey and Nancy Webb and a host of family and friends.
