It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Gray Black, Jr. 

Mr. Black, 25, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 after an automobile accident.  

The family will receive friends at 269 W. Cedar Ave., McBee, SC. 

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Gary Black, Jr. will be Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 3:00PM at McBee High School in McBee, SC. 

Interment will follow at Pine Forest Cemetery in McBee, SC. 

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Gary Bernard Black Jr. was born on September 5, 1997 in Heidelberg, Germany. He was the son of Gary Black and April Miller. Gary gained his wings on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

He was educated in the public schools of Chesterfield County and was a graduate of McBee High School, Class of 2016. He briefly attended some college.

He loved playing his PlayStation and making music. He was loved by many. He had a humble soul. He was caring, free-hearted, unique and easy to get along with. He was also employed by WalMart Distribution in Pageland, SC. 

He will truly be missed. Left to cherish his memory: his mom, April (Keldrick) Miller of McBee,SC; his father, Gary (Sabrina) Black of Hartsville, SC; two sisters: Briontae Black of Columbia SC and Jazareah Black of Hartsville, SC; two brothers, Montrese Black and Jayden Black both of Hartsville, SC; four stepsisters, Destiny Miller and Alexis Miller both of Pageland, SC, Shawnna (Junior) Burns of Polkton, NC and Lexie Grant of Patrick,SC. A special girlfriend, Alyssa Summer of Lancaster,SC; nephew, Caiden Dunbar; niece,  Amiya Bristow, aunts, uncles, many loved cousins, and best friends more like brothers.
