We are saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Geraldine Benjamin. 

Mrs. Benjamin, 82, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. 

The family will receive friends at 4002 Lula Ct., Florence, SC. 

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Benjamin will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. 

Interment service will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. 

All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home LLC, of Hartsville SC.

Geraldine Benjamin was born June 14, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Pauline Burton and Samuel Moore.
Geraldine departed this life on April 14, 2023 at McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC.

Geraldine loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Emmanuel Temple of Deliverance in Philadelphia until she moved to South Carolina. There she became a faithful member of the First Church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until she took her last breath. This is also where she met and married her husband, Willie Benjamin.


​Geraldine was educated in the Philadelphia School District. Geraldine was known to her friends and family as: mom, grandmom, Sister Benjamin and Mrs. Jerry.
​Geraldine is preceded in death by: her mother, Pauline Burton; sister, Helen Burton; son, Bruce Hickman; granddaughter, Ja’Vayyah-Nadaya Ellis; niece, Deborah Fagan; nephew, Billy Hughes; son-in-law, Ali Ellis and a long time friend, Harris Lambert.


​Surviving to cherish the legacy and memory of Geraldine are: her husband Willie Benjamin;her sons, Bejamin Goode, Todd (Charmaine) Lambert of Philadelphia and Harris (Tatanisha) Lambert III of Hartsville, SC. Her daughters, Doretha Goldsmith, Geraldine (Bernett) Taylor or Philadelphia, Crystal Ellis Lambert of Moncks Corner, SC, Tamika Lambert of Lydia, SC and Tawanda (Tracey) Dellon of Florence, SC; one god-daughter, Kaleena Green of North Carolina; forty grandchildren; seventy-seven great grandchildren and twelve great great grand-children; four brother-in-laws; three sister-in-laws; and a host of other relatives and friends.
