We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Franklin Aldrich.
Mr. Aldrich passed on Monday, October 7 2024, at Opus Post Acute Rehabilitation in Columbia, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.
Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Franklin D. Aldrich was born September 5, 1947 in Chesterfield County, to Jack and Mary Aldrich. He departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on October 7, 2024.
Franklin was educated in the public schools of McBee SC where he learned the basic educational necessities. He attended Pine Forest High School during his secondary educational years where he graduated with the Class of 1967. Upon completion of high school, Franklin joined the United States Army. After two and a half from the army, he entered the workforce and was employed at Wellman Inc. as a control room operator.
Franklin was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Franklin was married to Nallie Aldrich and to this union, two children were born.
In Franklin’s free time, he was an avid reader. He enjoyed finding and digging up yellow root. He also found pleasure in cooking pork skins. Those who knew and loved Franklin, knew that he had a heart for giving and sharing with others.
Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary Aldrich; brothers, John Aldrich, Bobby Aldrich, James Willie Aldrich, and J.S. Aldrich; sisters, Genevia Hammond, Thelma Lawhorn, and Alberta Perry; Ted Aldrich and Bill Aldrich.
Surviving to cherish the memories of Franklin “Jackie” Aldrich are:his spouse, Pastor Nallie Aldrich; two sons, Bradley (Keon) Aldrich ofDarlington SC and Daryl Aldrich of Roebuck, SC; four grandchildren Alexis, Kamryn, Jordan and Brayson; goddaughter, Towanna Monique Macklin, sisters, Clara Lawhorn of New Haven, CT; and Loretta Moore of McBee SC; special nephew, Jack Hammonds, special niece, Judge Robin Wilson of New Haven, CT; special cousin, Ann Murphy, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other close relatives and friends.
