It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ms. Ethel Wilson.
Ms. Wilson passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.
The family will receive friends at:
606 Birch Leaf Drive, Hartsville, SC.
All services are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Ethel Mae Wilson passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on September 17, 1940 to the late J.D. and Vicy Mason.
Ethel attended school in Lee County. After attending school in Lee County, she met her husband, David Wilson, Sr. The couple initiall settled in Hartsville, SC where they began their family. Shortly afterward, they relocated to Chicago, IL, along with one of their sons, to continue building their life together.
Ethel began her career at Cuneo Hospital in Chicago, where shededicated 30 years as a supervisor overseeing central ordering instruments for surgeons. Follow her tenure there, she worked at the VA Hospital for several years before retiring. In 1996, after retiring, Ethel and her family returned to Hartsville, SC, where she lived until her passing.
Ethel was a member at Mount Joy Baptist Church.
Ethel was a true matriarch. Her children and grandchildren would go to her for advice when facing challenges. You might not like what she said or how she said it, but you know she wanted the best for you, and it was from the heart. Somehow, you found yourself returning time and time again, seeking her wisdom and guidance.
Ethel is preceded in death by: her parents, JD and Vicy Mason; husband, David Wilson, Sr.; and two daughters, Angleous Wilson and Deborah Kidd.
Ethel is survived by: her loving children: Dellmus (Angela) Wilson, Lisa Wilson, Brenda (Willie) Leeks and David (Jameeka) Wilson, Jr.;brothers: Julious (Kimberly) Mason, Ronnie Mason, Allen Mason, Andrew (Betty) Mason, Herbert (Mary) Mason and Cron Mason; sisters: Argree Cooks, Barbara Jean Hawkins, Dorothy Cooley, Sandra Mason and Sara (Kevin) Murray; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends
