“Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. 2 He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue. 3 And do You open Your eyes on such a one, And bring me to judgment with Yourself? 4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one! 5 Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. 6 Look away from him that he mayrest, Till like a hired man he finishes his day.”

                                                                                   ~Job 14:1-6

In the tapestry of family every thread is vital, each color and texture essential in creating a beautiful whole. Today we gathered to honor the memory of a cherished thread in our own family tapestry our beloved Edwin Nicole Price affectionately called Nicky, Big E. Born on June 25, 1969, to Mahallie Price and Edward Jeter in Greenville SC. He received his early childhood education at West Gantt Elementary and Hughes Middle school. He continued his education at Southside High where he played basketball. He was transferred to Mauldin High School in his 10th grade year where he obtained his first job as a school bus driver, The job sparked the beginning of his love for driving. Later he went to truck driving school and became a trucker.

He loved his job and always talked about the beautiful scenery travelling from state to state. He also talked about the various cuisine available at the different truck stops.

Edwin was very good at fixing cars. He could tell someone what was wrong with their car just by listening to the sound. He taught his sisters, daughter and niece how to complete maintenance on their cars. He always made himself available to anyone who had car trouble.

Edwin had a unique way of turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories whether it was a simple family dinner or a grand adventure. He was the life of the party. He loved TO entertain his family and friends. He was always seen on the Grill as he called himself the best Grill master of all time.

In May 2021 he met and fell in love with Kaye-Kadeen Frazer while in Knoxville Tennessee. The night he met Kaye, he told her, “It was love at first sight and that God had sent him for her.” Edwin wasted no time; he made her his wife. They were joined in holy matrimony on July 22nd, 2022. He also loved Kaye’s daughter Hailey-Kay and cared for her as his own.

Edwin was more than a son, a husband, a brother, an uncle and a friend, he was a mentor, a guide and a source of support. His laughter filled our homes with joy and his kind heart made everyone feel welcomed and loved. He taught us the value of hard work, integrity and compassion.

Edwin was resilient for years as he had travelled around the country working. He never once complained that he was tired or said he didn’t want to be bothered. The ultimate test of his resilience came when he was diagnosed with cancer. He underwent many treatments, but despite his battle he never allowed his illness to affect his outlook on life. On the morning of January 27th his condition deteriorated rapidly. He succumbed to his illness at 1:07am on January 28th, 2025.

Edwin is survived by wife Kaye-Kadeen Frazer-Price, children Teshima Price and Hailey-Kay Thomas, mother Mahallie Price, father Edward Jetter, sisters Janice Price and Audrey Hallingquest, niece Ashley Hallingquest, nephew Joshua Hallingquest, Father in law Hugh Frazer (Jamaica), Sister in laws Joan Frazer-Samuels, Mauldeen Frazer (Jamaica), Sandy Frazer-Jackson (David Jackson) Ft Lauderdale Fl, Brother in law Sheldon Frazer (Jamaica), and a host of other siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken, blessed be the name of the Lord. Rest in peace dear Edwin you will be deeply missed but your spirit will remain with us always.
