Early Bo Dundy

Mr. Early “Bo” Dundy, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Carolina Pines Medical Center in Hartsville, SC. 

The family will receive friends at 
3220 Byrdtown Road, Society Hill, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Mr. Early “Bo” Dundy was born on April 8, 1950 in Darlington County. He was the son of the late Lessie Dundy, Sr. and Lelia Jackson Dundy. Bo gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.

He was educated in the public schools of Darlington County and was a graduate of Rosenwald High School, Class of 1969. He worked as a truck driver for over 20 years and most recently worked for Darlington County Environment.

Those preceding Bo in death are: his parents, Lessie and Lelia Jackson Dundy, Sr.; two sisters: Laura Dundy and Lelia Dundy McFarland; brother, Lessie Dundy, Jr and a granddaughter.

Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Janie Dundy; son, Kenneth McFarland; daughters: Shameka Wilson of Hartsville, SC, Teresa McFarland Hennegan of Sumter, SC and  Bobbie Jean McFarland and Sharon McFarland, both of Society Hill, SC; siblings: Jimmy (Birdie) Jackson of Winston Salem, NC, Levern Dundy of Hartsville, SC, Elijah (Gina) Dundy and Betty (Levern) James, both of Society Hill, SC, Lillie (Eddie) Gattison and Mabel Little, both of Darlington, SC, Alice Jackson of Hartsville, SC and Paul (Adrena) Dundy of Pageland, SC ; brother-in-laws: Monroe McFarland of Society Hill, SC and James Sims, Jr, of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren: Yiesha M. Goodson, Timothy Coe, Jr., Shatoya McFarland, Tyrese Dinkins and Kenneth McFarland; great-grandchildren: Demariah Goodson, Janari Goodson, Zariah Goodson, Tamyia Coe, Caroline Tedder and Ryleigh Coe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
