We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Daniel Cuffie.
Mr. Cuffie passed on Saturday, December 20, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.
The family will receive friends at: 2211 East Home Avenue, Hartsville, SC.
Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Daniel “Chicken” Cuffie was born on August 4, 1946, to the late Edward and Agnes Frazier Cuffie, in Hartsville, SC. Daniel was born a paternal twin with wombmate, David. At an early age, Daniel was the family inventor, fixer and keeper of all things mechanical and comical.
He graduated from Butler High School Class of 1965. He worshipped at Centerville AME until he moved to Baltimore, MD to begin his adult life. He started his career as a Heavy Machine Operator with E. Stewart Mitchell Construction. His career spanned 34 years before he retired.
Daniel was a true and dedicated fan of the Baltimore Ravens. He was passionate about playing pool, cooking and enjoying all kinds of food. He also had a keen appreciation for fine clothing and cars.
Daniel was united in matrimony with Mary Lee Gee, and together they began their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Agnes Cuffie; brothers: Wooster Ellis, Donald Daniels, and RW Thomas; sister, Essie Mae Goodson; and niece, Barbara Cuffie Evans.
Surviving to cherish his memory and legacy are: his wife, Mary Lee Gee Cuffie; sons, Bobby (Janine), Edward (Kauna), and Eric; daughters: Tammia (James), Danielle, Aurita, Danyette, and Dana (Dominique Sr.), all of the Baltimore, MD area; sisters: Beulah Lee, Bertha Lee, Rosa Lee, Mary Ellen, Jackie and Cynthia Ann, all of Hartsville, SC; brothers: Charles (Martha) of MD, David (Rosa) of CT and Donald (Willie) and James (Patricia) of Hartsville, SC; special friend, Thelma Ellerby, affectionately called “Honey Bun,” and the Graham family of Society Hill, SC; brother and sisters-in-law of the Gee Family of Hartsville, SC; long-time friend and buddy, William (LP) Lighty; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
