We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Cindy Cook. 

 Mrs. Cook passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Atrium Health Pineville, in Charlotte, NC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC of Hartsville, SC.

Mrs. Cindy Marie Roberts (Cook) was born December 5, 1968, in Hartsville, SC, to Ben (Joyce) Black Sr. She entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2025.

She was educated in the public schools of Darlington County, attending Hartsville High School & Mayo High School. She was employed at Domtar as a Benefits Specialist. Everybody knew her by her affectionate smile. She touched the lives of many. She always had words of wisdom to share with all. Her Favorite quote was, "What's right is right, and What's wrong is wrong. It will forever be imprinted in the hearts of many. She enjoyed planting & growing plants and cruising the seas with her beloved husband, family, and friends. She also enjoyed shopping and puzzles. Her favorite snack was Sunflower Seeds and Butter Pecan ice cream.

Cindy Cook was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Roberts; aunt, Louise Venson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank (Gertha) Cook Jr.; nephew, Derris Cook; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Cindy Cook leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved husband of 39 years, Willie Cook; both parents, Ben (Joyce) Black Sr.; two daughters, Shalisha (Ashley) Wingate-Cook and Takia Cook; one and only grandchild, Sa'Mauri (Gigi Boy) Cook; one brother, Ben (Maria) Black Jr. of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Marie Williams and Phish Williams-Smith of SC; eight nephews, Benari Black and Benjamin Black III of Charlotte, NC, Donald Cook, Tyrone and Jerome Cook, Robert Cook, Timothy Wilson of SC, Isaiah mark (Brittany) Hursey OF Oklahoma, Brody Johnson of Charlotte, NC; four nieces, Sharon Wilson and Sabrista (Wes) Johnson of SC, Bella Black of Charlotte, NC and India Hursey of Delaware and many other dear great nephews and nieces.
