Carolyn Naomi Bacote

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Carolyn N. Bacote.

Mrs. Bacote passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at MUSC in Florence, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; For we walk by faith, not by sight.
   
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Carolyn Naomi Bacote was born on December 28, 1947. She departed this earthly life on November 15, 2023. 

At an early age, Carolyn joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Hartsville, SC.  She attended Butler High School and graduated in 1966.  To further her education, she attended Denmark Area Trade School which is now Denmark Technical College.  She became a licensed cosmetologist and operated “Bacote Boutique” in Hartsville SC until 2010. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Coker L. Bacote and Annie Ophelia Antrum Bacote; brother, Edward Harris and sister, Clarice Bacote. 

Loving memories of Carolyn’s life will be cherished by: her daughter, Teshi M. Bacote; granddaughter, Teanna M. Bacote; grandson, Tyquan M. Pompey; great-grandson, Zenjai M. Smith; Brothers: Clarin M. Bacote, Charles (Helen) Bacote, and Carl (Josephine) Bacote; Sisters: Cecelia B. Cohens, Constance (Robert) McCain and Claudette Toney; Nine nephews, seven nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
