Ann Elizabeth Bacote Addison was born on October 25, 1948, in Bishopville (Lee County), SC to the late Hazel Bacote and Phoebia Mae Brown Bacote. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Ann was a 1967 graduate of Butler High School. She was employed at Sara Lee Hosiery for over thirty years. Later in life, she was employed by Lee and Darlington County School Districts for four years before retiring.
Ann was married to Charles Edward Addison Jr., who preceded her in death. To this union, they were blessed with four children.
Ann was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Beulah Methodist Church. She believed with all of her heart that God was her provider, protector, and healer.
Ann was an Eastern Star serving Mt. Beulah Chapter 238.
Ann found pleasure in cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ann’s love for her family was immeasurable and her presence brought joy to all who knew her. She lived a life of faith, compassion, and service. Her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts and her impact will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Hazel Bacote and Phoebia Mae Brown-Bacote; husband, Charles Edward Addison, Jr.; and children: Charles E. Addison, III and Shawn D. Addison.
Loving memories of Ann’s life will be cherished by: her children, Na’Quian Addison and Stafford Bacote, both of Hartsville; brother, Salone (Ada) Brown of Hartsville; sisters, Rosa (George) Scott of Elizabeth, NJ and Hazel Newman of Queens, NY; grandchildren: Deldrick Addison, Tyrin (Taiyana) Addison, Zaiden Addison, Marquette Addison and Na’Jae Collins; great-grandchildren: Ta’Nyliah Addison, Karsen Addison, Kennedy Addison, and Elijah Smith; niece, whom she raised as her child, Lorraine Germaine; special friends, Dorothy Crummy and Hariette Bacote; god-children: A’rabb Thompson, Herman Montague, Lynette Slater- Johnson, and Maybelle Ketter; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.
