Andruel Ann Holloman

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Andruel Holloman, 70, of McBee SC.

Ms. Holloman entered into rest on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC. 

The family will receive friends at 284 Union Church Road, McBee, SC. 

Arrangements will be announced by Davis Funeral Home, LLC.

“For I know the plans I have towards you pays the Lord. Plans of good and not of evil, to give you a hope an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11   

Mrs. Andruel “Ann” Holloman was born on July 20, 1952 in Lee County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee, Sr. and Susie Williams Blackwell and was one of 10 siblings.  Ann gained her wings and took flight to Heaven on Sunday, June 4,2023 at Carolina Pine RMC after illness. Ann was educated in Chesterfield and Kershaw County schools. She attended Mt. Beulah UMC before her illness.

Ann was married to Calvin Holloman Jr. for 53 years and to this union they had three beautiful daughters, Amy Ponds, Gloria Holloman and Amanda White, and a stepson Jamie Mack.

Ann loved baking cakes and cooking delicious food. She loved fishing, and going to yard sales and flea markets where she would find many trinkets to share with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air while watching nature. She loved bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She loved everyone and would open her home to all who needed her at any time. She loved and was loved by all who know her. She will be truly missed.

She was proceeded in death by her brothers Robert Jr. and Donnie Blackwell. Her sister Brenda Blackwell; sister-in-law; Betty Ruth Covington and Gloria Sweetenburg; brother-in-law;  Bernie and Rick (Anita) Holloman.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Amy (Chris) Ponds, Gloria Holloman of Mcbee,SC and Amanda White of Hartsville, SC; step-son Jamie (Diane) Mack of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Tiavah Holloman, Timothy, Christopher Ponds,Jr., Tahiri, Khalif,& Kingston Bacote and Elijah Smith; great-grandchildren, Avery, Keith, Archie; godchildren, Jalayshia McCaskill, Kaden, Khadijah Strickland; siblings; Willie Faye Daniels of Pittsburgh, PA, Roberta, Linda, Oree, Ronnie(Regina) Blackwell of Bethune, SC, and Jacqueline (Albert) Carter of Columbia, SC. A special niece, Thelma (Kevin) Blackwell of Pittsburgh, PA; special sisters/cousins; Caroline Grate of Newark, NJ; sister/friend Lucille Hart; brother-in-law; Kenny (Betty) Blackwell of Columbia, SC ;Sisters-in-law; Ruby D. Price of Charlotte, NC, Mary, Sarah, Sandra, Paulene, Elizabeth, Niki and  Clyde  Richardson of Mcbee,SC. A host of beloved family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
