REFLECTIONS OF LIFE
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
Deacon Allen James Byrd was born on August 15, 1962 in Hartsville, SC. He was the son of the late Ransom and Shirley Brown Byrd. Deacon Byrd gained his heavenly wings on Sunday, April 09, 2023. Heaven has truly gained a precious soul in the midst. We find peace and comfort in knowing that the man we loved dearly is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He was educated in the public schools of Darlington County and was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1980. He also attended Hartsville High Vocational School where he majored in electricity and graduated in the top ten of his class. He also graduated from Charlotte Diesel School in Charlotte,NC.He worked as a truck driver at Crown Cork & Seal and Ard before proudly becoming an owner operator of A&P Truck Lines.
He was reared in a loving, Christian home along with his three siblings. Because he was taught to respect, love and fear Jesus Christ, he accepted Our Lord and Savior as his Master. He was baptized and became a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary and he served with distinction on The Pastor Aid, Heritage Quartet, Mens Choirs and Head of The Brotherhood. He also served on the Deacon Ministry for many years.
